MB Club.lv continues the wonderful tradition of gathering Mercedes-Benz coupes and their owners for the annual autumn meeting “Luxury of MB Coupes”. The third year in succession, you are welcome to this annual meeting on 14 September 2008, traditionally held in one of the castles and manors in Latvia. You are welcome to take part in this meeting if you are an owner of a Mercedes-Benz coupe of any age and model, you love Mercedes-Benz coupes or you just want to have good time on a Sunday enjoying the beauty of Mercedes-Benz coupes and the castles of Latvia.
This time, the venue of “Luxury of MB Coupes 2008” is Kurzeme and the central events are planned around Jaunpils castle where participants can indulge in various Mercedes-Benz related activities, have an excursion in the Jaunpils castle and have lunch in the castle pub.
For the first time, this year there will be a Mercedes-Benz coupe competition “Grace Race 2008”. This competition will involve choosing the most beautiful Mercedes-Benz coupe in two nominations – the jury and audience prize. Valuation criteria will include not only the technical and visual properties of a car but the driver’s clothing, music in the car, ability to attract the valuer’s attention to the car, and coherence of other elements with the car image. “Grace Race 2008” is open to all Mercedes-Benz coupe drivers and their cars. Participants may apply during registration for “Luxury of MB Coupes 2008”.
Agenda:
9:00 – meeting in the trade centre ‘Spice’ parking lot (behind the sports and recreation centre Bowlero), registration of participants;
10:00 – departure to Slokenbeka manor house in Milzkalne, Tukums region;
11:00 – visiting Latvia Road Museum in Slokenbeka manor house, morning coffee and breakfast pies from ‘Rausu meistars’;
12:30 – departure to Jaunpils;
13:00 – arrival at Jaunpils, arranging cars in the parking lot;
13:30 – ‘Grace Race 2008’, quiz;
14:30 – guided excursion to Jaunpils castle, a travel during which visitors will have a possibility to learn about the demonic deeds of Jaunpils barons, participate in mini quizzes about Jaunpils legends, free oneself from sin in the wine cellar with monk self-flagellation whips and acquire some skills in walking on wooden legs.
In addition, there will be an opportunity to see Jaunpils church, try Medieval entertainments in the Swedish Wall, and visit the nearby water mills with three stories still housing almost all grinding devices;
15:30 – lunch in Jaunpils pub in a Medieval atmosphere and awarding the best and most attractive participants of ‘Luxury of MB Coupes 2008’ and the most beautiful Mercedes-Benz coupes.
18:00 – departure to Riga.
The total route Riga—Slokenbeka – Jaunpils – Riga is approximately 150 km.
We invite Mercedes-Benz drivers not only from Riga but also those from other regions of Latvia who can join ‘Luxury of MB Coupes 2008’ in Slokenbeka and Jaunpils.
